Pricing has been confirmed for the fresh-faced 2024 BMW 4 Series and M4 coupe and convertible range, with the upgraded model due to land in Australian showrooms from quarter two (April-June) this year.
However, the mid-size BMW sports car line-up has been trimmed with the discontinuation of the entry-level 420i coupe, mid-spec 430i convertible and rear-drive M4 Competition.
This means only seven variants remain, with pricing for the coupe now kicking off at $109,700 before on-road costs for the 430i (an increase of $5000) and the M440i moving up $2300 to $134,400.
The 420i convertible is now the new entry point to the 4 Series line-up, priced at $106,500 (+$6100), while the drop-top version of the M440i xDrive is now priced at $150,900 (+$2500).

As for the high-performance M4 line-up, pricing is up $2200 to $168,700 plus on-road costs for the base car with a six-speed manual gearbox.
With the discontinuation of the rear-wheel-drive M4 Competition, the gulf between the base M4 and top-spec, all-wheel-drive Competition xDrive widens as the latter moves up $3400 to $186,500.
The convertible version of the latter cops a similar rise of $3300 to $197,900 and sits as the most expensive 4 Series variant currently on offer.
A full list of changes to the 2024 4 Series can be found in yesterday's reveal story (click here), but highlights include new headlights, a revised interior and a 15kW power bump for the M4 Competition xDrive grades to 390kW.
However, the price rise also reflects new standard equipment added to the 4 Series range, with the 430i coupe scoring a heated steering wheel, heated front seats and a glass sunroof, while the M440i xDrive now scores a tyre pressure monitor.
In the convertible camp, the 2024 420i adds adaptive M suspension, an air collar neck warming system and BMW's Driving Assistant Professional and Parking Assistant Plus driver-assistance packages.
Both new version of the 420i and M440i xDrive convertible also now feature a heated steering wheel, while the latter also adds tyre pressure monitoring to mirror its coupe sibling.
The additions to the M4 line-up are more sparse, with BMW adding a upgraded instrument cluster to the M4 coupe and the only changes to the M4 Competition xDrive being the aforementioned power bump.
Full specifications can be found below.
The 2024 BMW 4 Series and M4 is due to arrive in Australian showrooms in the second quarter of 2024 (April to June).
